With ADT®, you get security from five interconnected command centers that are strategically located throughout the country. That's more than any other home security provider in the United States. Each command center is backed by powerful equipment and trained professionals, so if one connection is interrupted, one of the other centers can handle the monitoring for your home.

  • Your home will be monitored 24 hours a day through the ADT® system. In the event of an emergency, the system transmits a signal to one of ADT's five monitoring centers.
  • If your main monitoring center is not active because of a natural disaster, the signal is automatically routed to the next ADT® monitoring center. When you need help in an emergency, ADT® will be there for you.
  • The monitoring center attempts to contact the homeowner via phone after the signal is received. If the person who answers the phone cannot supply the personal indentification code, or if no one answers the phone, the representative then can notify local authorities.
  • Local authorities are then dispatched to the home to determine the cause of the disturbance and to respond to emergency situations.

It's important to understand that most security companies only have one monitoring center, and in some cases, that center is not based in America or even managed by an actual security company.

When will my ADT® home security system be installed?

When ordering your system, you will be asked to select a preferred installation date and time that is convenient for you. Our professional technicians will then come to your home and install the home protection system at the scheduled time.

What is 2-Way Voice?

2-Way Voice photo2-Way Voice is a convenient, hands free feature that allows you to communicate directly with an ADT® monitoring center person from almost anywhere in your home. The control panel acts like an intercom over which an ADT® monitoring center person can verify an emergency in your home and ask you for your password code.

The microphone in your control panel is so strong that it can pick up a normal talking voice from over 75 feet away, so you can communicate with a monitoring center person even if even if you're injured and can't make it to the control panel.
